Treatment
Three types (modalities) of therapy have been used for eradicating PPB: surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. These are the most common therapies used for all types of cancer. Other treatments such as immunotherapy (enhanced or targeted immune system therapy) have not been reported for PPB.

How is the treatment decision made? Childhood cancer should be treated by a team of specialists: pediatric oncologists, pediatric surgeons, pediatric radiation therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and social workers. They pool their knowledge and make recommendations to the families. Treatment options include:
